Project finished early 2003

This Vigilante was built with the purpose of gaining a 3D visualisation of an A-5A. As a kit, its not much use. Its basically a toy, complete with mountings for an ejectable bomb train (and as a result, no tail cone), and its certainly not 1/72. It does, however, get the shape of the plane rather nicely.
It was built with its main purpose in mind, so I didn't spend the time that would have been needed to get things like cockpit and undecarriage up to any kind of standard. I just built a tailcone from milliput, and glued up the rest as best I could. Some more milliput and sandpaper to fix the worse fit problems, and a bit of time with an airbrush, and the result is quite presentable (or so I think).
